We are seeking a mid-level or experienced NGS Bioinformatics Specialist to join our growing Genomics team. The successful candidate will analyze complex genomic datasets, generate high-quality bioinformatics reports, support scientific discussions with customers, and contribute to both clinical and research genomics projects.
Reporting Line: Application Field Manager
Key Responsibilities
Perform end-to-end bioinformatics analysis across a broad range of NGS applications, including Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS), Whole Exome Sequencing (WES), Targeted Sequencing, RNA-Seq, Metagenomics, and high-resolution HLA typing.
Analyze genomic datasets generated from clinical and research sequencing projects with a particular focus on Oncology and Hereditary Disease applications.
Interpret genomic variants using internationally recognized databases and accepted clinical interpretation guidelines to support downstream clinical evaluation by the genetics team.
Generate accurate, comprehensive, and well-documented bioinformatics reports for clinical and research applications.
Utilize commercial bioinformatics software as well as Linux-based bioinformatics pipelines for routine genomic data analysis.
Participate in variant discovery projects and support genomic investigations involving inherited disorders and cancer genomics.
Collaborate closely with laboratory scientists, molecular geneticists, application specialists, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
Participate in scientific meetings with customers when required to present bioinformatics findings and provide technical consultation.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure secure handling of genomic data in accordance with organizational quality standards.
Continuously expand technical knowledge by following emerging sequencing technologies, bioinformatics methodologies, international guidelines, and current scientific literature.
Qualifications
Education
Master's degree or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genetics, Molecular Genetics, or another related Life Sciences discipline.
Experience
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in NGS bioinformatics analysis.
Experience in Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) data analysis is essential.
Experience with Clinical NGS workflows is highly desirable; however, candidates with strong research-based NGS experience are also encouraged to apply.
Technical Skills
Solid proficiency in Linux and command-line environments.
Hands-on experience analyzing WES, WGS, RNA-Seq, Targeted Sequencing, Metagenomics, and HLA typing datasets.
Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis, visualization, and automation.
Strong understanding of variant interpretation and genotype–phenotype correlation.
Experience using commercial bioinformatics software together with established Linux-based NGS analysis pipelines.
Familiarity with workflow management systems (e.g., Nextflow or Snakemake) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) is considered an advantage. Pipeline development is not required.
Professional working proficiency in English with the ability to read scientific literature, international guidelines, and technical documentation, and communicate effectively in scientific discussions.

Saturday to Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
