SAP Basis Consultant

About the Role
We are looking for an SAP Basis Consultant to support the administration, monitoring, and day-to-day operation of our SAP S/4HANA environment.
The role will work closely with senior SAP Basis, infrastructure, security, database, and network teams to ensure SAP systems remain stable, available, secure, and well maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day SAP Basis administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Support SAP S/4HANA environments across development, testing, and production.
• Monitor system health, performance, availability, and technical alerts.
• Support SAP HANA database monitoring and routine administration.
• Manage SAP users, transports, system maintenance, and routine administrative activities.
• Support SAP Fiori, Gateway, SAProuter, and Web Dispatcher environments.
• Assist with system upgrades, migrations, system copies, and other technical projects.
• Analyze and resolve technical issues, escalating complex problems when required.
• Work with infrastructure, network, database, security, ABAP, and functional teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
• Maintain technical documentation and follow change-management, security, and production-support procedures.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Around 4 years of hands-on SAP Basis experience in a support or project environment.
• Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA systems.
• Working knowledge of SAP HANA administration and monitoring.
• Good understanding of SAP system architecture and Basis administration.
• Working knowledge of Linux and basic networking concepts.
• Experience with SAP monitoring, troubleshooting, transports, system logs, and user administration.
• Working knowledge of SAP Fiori, Gateway, SAProuter, and Web Dispatcher.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Good English communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SAP upgrades, migrations, system copies, or system refresh activities.
• Exposure to SAP Solution Manager or SAP Focused Run.
• Basic Linux scripting knowledge.
• Exposure to cloud or virtualized SAP environments.
• SAP Basis certification is an advantage.
