Job Description
We are looking for an analytical and proactive Junior Planning Specialist to join our Operations Planning team.
In this role, you will support improvements to operational processes and planning methods across our Fulfillment Center, Dispatch Center, and Call Center. You will help establish performance standards, develop practical planning models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable improvements in productivity, capacity utilization, and service levels.

In this role, you will support improvements to operational processes and planning methods across our Fulfillment Center, Dispatch Center, and Call Center. You will help establish performance standards, develop practical planning models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable improvements in productivity, capacity utilization, and service levels.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Transportation Management, or a related field.
- Familiarity with process mapping, including flowcharts and swimlane diagrams, and a basic understanding of BPMN and workflow-management concepts.
- Understanding of operational planning fundamentals, including capacity, workforce, productivity, and service levels.
- Ability to break down operational problems and develop clear, logical algorithms and practical solutions.
- Basic programming skills in Python, R, or another high-level programming language.
- A solid foundation in statistics, including hypothesis testing, experimental design, performance measurement, and data interpretation.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to listen actively, understand stakeholder priorities, and build alignment.
- Practical experience using AI or automation tools to improve productivity, analysis, or workflows.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a structured approach to managing multiple priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct time and motion studies using appropriate work-measurement techniques, including stopwatch time studies, Basic MOST, and MTM, to establish standard times and assess productivity.
- Map and document operational workflows, business rules, and process dependencies across the Fulfillment Center, Dispatch Center, and Call Center.
- Identify bottlenecks, capacity constraints, process gaps, control weaknesses, and potential failure points; recommend practical preventive and corrective actions.
- Develop and improve methodologies, algorithms, and quantitative models for workforce allocation, headcount planning, capacity management, and service-level achievement.
- Define operational KPIs and dashboard requirements in collaboration with operations and data teams to improve performance visibility.
- Support long-term planning, short-term planning, and data teams by translating operational requirements and process knowledge into clear assumptions, analytical requirements, and planning logic.
- Evaluate improvement opportunities through data analysis, hypothesis testing, and operational experiments; measure the impact of implemented changes.
- Coordinate cross-functional improvement projects and take ownership of selected initiatives, from problem definition through implementation and performance tracking.
- Define project roles, responsibilities, milestones, and dependencies; track stakeholder commitments and follow up to ensure timely delivery.
- Use AI and automation tools to streamline recurring analysis, documentation, and operational workflows.
- Maintain clear, structured documentation of planning methodologies, operating standards, and process improvements.
