SAP Finance Lead

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced SAP Finance Lead to lead the design, implementation, optimization, and support of SAP financial solutions across business operations.

The role will work closely with Finance, Accounting, business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners to translate business requirements into effective SAP solutions. The SAP Finance Lead will take ownership of Finance workstreams across implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and transformation initiatives, from requirements gathering and solution design through testing, go-live, and stabilization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead SAP Finance workstreams across requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, go-live, and post-go-live support.
• Design and optimize end-to-end SAP Finance processes aligned with business requirements and SAP Best Practices.
• Support core Finance processes including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Accounting, and financial reporting.
• Ensure effective integration between SAP Finance and MM, SD, and other relevant SAP modules and external systems.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to analyze processes, identify improvement opportunities, and translate requirements into scalable SAP solutions.
• Lead testing, data migration, cutover, deployment, and stabilization activities.
• Prepare functional specifications and work closely with technical teams on WRICEF developments, integrations, and enhancements.
• Analyze and resolve complex SAP Finance issues and provide functional guidance to business and technical teams.
• Maintain solution documentation, process documentation, and implementation standards.
• Mentor and support junior SAP consultants and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of hands-on SAP Finance experience, including experience in end-to-end SAP implementation projects.
• Experience leading multiple SAP Finance implementations, rollouts, or transformation projects.
• Strong knowledge of SAP FI and core financial processes, including GL, AP, AR, Bank Accounting, and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of SAP integration with MM, SD, and other business processes.
• Hands-on experience with requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, and go-live activities.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Best Practices.
• Experience with data migration, master data, system integration, and third-party interfaces.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex functional issues.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and workshop facilitation skills.
• Ability to lead project activities and manage priorities across multiple stakeholders.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel when required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance and Fiori.
• Experience with SAP CO and broader Finance transformation initiatives.
• Exposure to SAP ABAP/technical debugging and WRICEF development.
• Experience with integration platforms, middleware, or third-party financial systems.
• Experience working in large-scale or international SAP programs.
• SAP Finance certification is an advantage.
