Mission
· To provide legal support services to the team by coordinating litigation correspondence and follow-up with relevant departments on all litigation issues, contributing to the smooth operation of the division.
Roles & Responsibilities
· To coordinate existing and potential litigation disputes and provide support as required.
· To classify all related documents in litigation databases, ensure proper documentation and archiving are in place for all assigned cases and associated correspondence/transactions, and update information systems such as the online database of litigation cases and related reports.
· To provide administrative correspondence regarding litigation affairs toward judicial offices.
· To provide responses/explanations to inquiries concerning files submitted to judicial and supervisory authorities and take the required actions.
· To be dispatched to judicial offices to receive or register documents for cases in which the line manager deems the appearance of lawyers in person not necessary.
· To prepare monthly/weekly management reports at the manager's request and guidance.
· To handle financial tasks including petty cash or, in the case of a regional coordinator, finalizing lawyers’ monthly budget, registering payment requests, court bills, etc.; respond to related queries by lawyers; and prepare reports.
· To correspond with judicial and administrative authorities for the department and, if required, the regions.
· To coordinate between regional lawyers in the performance of duties.
· To perform and ensure proper typing and/or formatting of letters, presentations, and documents specified by the litigation manager to eliminate editorial errors.
· To be dispatched to police stations and/or the prosecutor’s office for notifying the writer of summons, if required.
· To be dispatched to banks for paying court costs and to judicial offices for submitting related payment slips, as well as conducting and following up all financial transactions related to the Litigation Department, if required.
· To ensure all relevant departments are aware of related court verdicts and have taken respective action toward court sentences.
· To handle registrations and announcements received from allocated systems such as Baray, Sana, and SDM, follow up on related issues, and attend associated meetings.
· To provide reports regarding assigned cases’ number, status, or subjects at the manager’s request.
Education
· Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Law.
Experience
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial/litigation legal.
· Experience working in a medium organization.
· Experience in handling and negotiating funding is an added advantage.
