At DigiExpress, we build transportation and fulfillment infrastructure. We move quickly on new ideas and turn the ones that work into products that scale.
About the role
We're hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer to take product ideas from early concept to production across web and cross-platform apps. You'll own key user journeys end to end and help set the technical direction for our frontend. You'll also help define how the team uses AI tools day to day, from planning and prototyping through review and release.
What you'll do
- Design and build frontends for high-traffic products, with performance, accessibility, and reliability considered from the start.
- Use server rendering where it makes a real difference, including React Server Components, streaming with Suspense, and a clear split between server and client code.
- Manage client state and server data with tools like Jotai or Zustand and TanStack Query.
- Build forms that are easy to use and hard to break, using React Hook Form and Zod.
- Shape the team's AI-assisted workflow. That covers how briefs become scoped tasks, how designs turn into working prototypes, and how agents help with reviews, tests, and documentation.
- Know when to rely on AI tools and when not to. Put checks in place so AI-generated code meets the same standard as everything else we ship.
- Keep quality high through code review, testing, documentation, and performance budgets tracked against Core Web Vitals.
- Build and maintain our in-house design system with the Design team, including components, tokens, theming, and documentation that other teams can build on with confidence.
- Work closely with Product, Design, and Backend to ship reliable features on predictable timelines.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years building production web applications, including PWAs.
- Strong JavaScript and TypeScript fundamentals.
- Solid experience with React and a server-rendering framework such as Next.js.
- A track record of finding and fixing performance problems in the network, rendering, and memory layers.
- Regular, hands-on use of AI coding agents such as Claude Code, or Cursor in real product work, and a clear sense of where they help and where they fall short.
- Experience with modern styling and component tooling (Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui or Radix) and build tools like Vite.
- Confidence handling API integration, authentication, error states, and the edge cases that come up in production.
- Working knowledge of Docker and CI/CD.
- Clear, proactive communication and a history of working well across teams.
Nice to have
- Experience building internal AI tooling, such as custom agents, MCP servers, shared prompt and context libraries, or AI steps in CI.
- Design-to-code workflows between Figma and the codebase, such as syncing design tokens or using Figma Code Connect.
- Mobile development with React Native and Expo, or desktop apps with Tauri or Electron.
- Testing with Vitest, React Testing Library, and Playwright.
