Job Description
We are seeking a versatile and hands-on Electronics & IoT Embedded Engineer to join our R&D team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design, prototyping, testing, and deployment of smart embedded hardware, sensor nodes, and automation systems. You will work on multi-disciplinary hardware systems combining ultra-low-power edge devices, wireless telemetry, real-time sensor/actuator integration, and localized control logic. Key Responsibilities Hardware Design & Prototyping:
Design, simulate, and lay out multi-layer PCBs (schematic capture and PCB layout) for mixed-signal, power management, and microcontroller-based boards.
Perform hands-on bench assembly, SMD/THT soldering, wire harnessing, and component-level debugging using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
Embedded Firmware & Industrial Protocols:
Develop robust, modular firmware in C/C++ for various microcontrollers (e.g., STM32, ESP32, Nordic nRF, ARM Cortex-M).
Implement, configure, and debug Modbus (Modbus RTU / Modbus TCP) master/slave communication for industrial interfacing and system integration.
Develop peripheral drivers and communication buses: I2C, SPI, UART, RS485, ADC/DAC, and PWM.
IoT Communication & Telemetry Protocols:
Integrate and optimize short- and long-range wireless communication modules (BLE, LoRa / LoRaWAN, Wi-Fi, Cellular / NB-IoT).
Implement lightweight data transmission protocols (MQTT, HTTP/REST, CoAP, WebSockets) for edge-to-gateway or edge-to-cloud connectivity.
Sensors, Actuators & Control Systems:
Interface, filter, and calibrate diverse analog and digital sensors (environmental, motion/IMU, electrical power/current, optical, etc.).
Design driving and switching circuits for actuators (relays, solid-state switches, drivers, analog outputs 0–10V / 4–20mA).
Implement real-time control algorithms and feedback loops (PID, state logic, event-driven triggers).
Power Optimization & System Reliability:
Architect and tune circuits and firmware for ultra-low power consumption, battery management, and deep-sleep duty cycling.
Ensure hardware resilience against noise, voltage spikes, and harsh operating conditions.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Embedded Systems, Mechatronics, or Computer Hardware Engineering.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on industrial or commercial product development experience in electronics and embedded IoT systems.
Proficiency in ECAD software (Altium Designer, KiCad, or Eagle).
Strong practical lab skills: precision soldering (SMD packages down to 0603/QFN), rapid board modification, and hardware debugging.
Embedded & Connectivity Skills:
Strong proficiency in Embedded C/C++.
Practical experience with Modbus RTU / TCP over RS485/Ethernet.
Proven experience deploying wireless IoT stacks (LoRaWAN, BLE, Wi-Fi, or Cellular) and communication protocols (MQTT).
Practical understanding of power profiling and low-power hardware design.
Strong analytical problem-solving skills and attention to hardware reliability.
Ability to document schematics, bill of materials (BOM), and firmware architectures cleanly.
Nice-to-Have
Experience with CAN bus or other industrial fieldbuses.
Basic 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks/Fusion 360) for mechanical fit and enclosure prototyping.
Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and transition from prototype to small-scale production.
