Summary

We are looking for an experienced Platform & Cloud Infrastructure Manager to lead the design, development, and operation of ZAFTA’s cloud and modern infrastructure platforms.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical and leadership experience in Private Cloud, Kubernetes, Software-Defined Storage, DevOps, infrastructure automation, and AI infrastructure, with proven experience in large-scale, mission-critical enterprise environments.

This role is responsible for delivering scalable, resilient, automated, and service-oriented platforms supporting enterprise, cloud-native, and AI workloads.

Responsibilities

Define and execute cloud and platform infrastructure strategy, architecture, and technology roadmap.

Lead the design and operation of Private Cloud, Kubernetes/Container, and Software-Defined Storage platforms.

Lead Platform Engineering, DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, and infrastructure automation initiatives.

Develop standardized and self-service infrastructure services for technology and development teams.

Lead infrastructure platforms supporting GPU computing, AI/ML workloads, and MLOps.

Ensure availability, scalability, resiliency, performance, and security of managed platforms.

Define and monitor platform SLA/SLOs, capacity, performance, and resource utilization.

Establish monitoring, observability, capacity planning, and cost optimization practices.

Design and maintain High Availability and Disaster Recovery strategies for managed platforms.

Define technical standards, reference architectures, and operational best practices.

Manage technology lifecycle, upgrades, migrations, and platform modernization initiatives.

Evaluate emerging technologies and lead technical assessments and Proof of Concepts (PoCs).

Collaborate with System Infrastructure, Network, Cybersecurity, Data Center, Database, ITSM, and Application Development teams.

Lead and develop multidisciplinary technical teams and support 24×7 mission-critical services.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud, platform engineering, or related fields, including 5+ years in technical leadership or management roles.

Strong knowledge of Private Cloud and OpenStack architectures.

Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, OpenShift, containers, and cloud-native infrastructure.

Strong knowledge of Software-Defined Storage, particularly Ceph.

Strong knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, automation, and orchestration.

Hands-on knowledge of technologies such as Ansible and Terraform.

Strong understanding of Platform Engineering, self-service infrastructure, and service-oriented infrastructure delivery.

Good understanding of enterprise compute, virtualization, storage, networking, and data protection concepts.

Strong understanding of High Availability, Disaster Recovery, multi-site architecture, RPO, and RTO.

Knowledge of GPU infrastructure, AI/ML platforms, and MLOps infrastructure.

Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and infrastructure monitoring/observability.

Good understanding of infrastructure security, Zero Trust principles, and hardening practices.

Strong capacity planning, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.

Experience working with large-scale, multi-vendor, 24×7 enterprise environments.
