Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced software engineer with a strong Node.js and TypeScript background who is also comfortable working on the frontend with React and Next.js. You will design, build, and maintain backend services and the user-facing applications that sit on top of them, working closely with product, design, QA, and DevOps.
What You Will Do
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript (NestJS preferred)
• Build and improve web applications and internal panels with React and Next.js
• Model data and write efficient queries in PostgreSQL; design schemas and migrations with performance in mind
• Use Redis for caching, sessions, and other performance-critical workloads
• Build reliable asynchronous and event-driven flows with RabbitMQ
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and take part in code reviews
• Collaborate through Git-based workflows (branching, merge requests, CI pipelines)
• Troubleshoot production issues, improve observability, and help keep the platform stable and secure
• Contribute to technical decisions, architecture discussions, and documentation
• Mentor teammates and share knowledge across the team
Requirements
• At least 5 years of professional experience building and developing software applications
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js on the backend
• Hands-on experience with React and/or Next.js on the frontend
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL: schema design, indexing, query optimization, and transactions
• Practical experience with Redis
• Experience with message brokers, ideally RabbitMQ, and asynchronous/event-driven design
• Comfortable with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Good understanding of RESTful API design, authentication, and web security basics
• Experience writing automated tests (unit, integration)
• Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and clear communication
Nice to Have
• Experience with NestJS (a strong advantage)
• Familiarity with modular-monolith and clean/hexagonal architecture
• Experience with an ORM such as Prisma or TypeORM
• Experience working in a monorepo
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI)
• Experience with monitoring and error tracking tools (e.g., Sentry)
• Background in marketplace or high-traffic consumer products
