Senior Legal Specialist - Litigation

We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Specialist to take ownership of complex litigation, dispute resolution, corporate, and regulatory matters.

In this role, you will manage high-stakes legal cases, provide strategic legal guidance to internal stakeholders, support regulatory and compliance matters, and contribute to protecting the company’s interests within the evolving legal landscape of cryptocurrency and financial services in Iran. You will also support the development of junior team members and serve as a trusted legal advisor across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage complex litigation and dispute resolution matters, including legal strategy, case preparation, documentation, settlement negotiations, and follow-up through resolution.
• Represent the company’s interests before judicial, regulatory, and governmental authorities when required.
• Oversee the preparation, filing, and registration of official corporate documents with relevant government authorities and ensure statutory records remain accurate and up to date.
• Advise on corporate governance requirements and related legal matters.
• Independently draft, review, and finalize complex legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, corporate resolutions, and other legal documentation.
• Review and provide guidance on legal documents prepared by junior team members to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency.
• Conduct advanced legal research and analysis on Iranian laws and regulations relevant to the company’s operations, with a particular focus on digital assets, financial regulations, and corporate law.
• Translate legal and regulatory developments into clear, actionable recommendations for business and leadership teams.
• Monitor, analyze, and interpret regulatory developments affecting cryptocurrency, financial services, and corporate governance in Iran.
• Identify regulatory and legal risks and advise relevant stakeholders on appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Oversee litigation case files and corporate registry records and ensure all deadlines, procedural requirements, and filing obligations are met.
• Improve legal case management, documentation, and registry processes where needed.
• Act as a key liaison between the Legal team, internal departments, external counsel, and government authorities.
• Manage external legal counsel, including scope definition, coordination, review of work product, and cost oversight.
• Support and mentor junior legal team members and contribute to the development of legal standards and best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) from an accredited Iranian university.
• A Master’s degree in Law (LL.M.) or a related field is considered a strong advantage.
• Valid Attorney’s License issued by the Iranian Bar Association, with active standing and no disciplinary restrictions.
• Minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience practicing as an Attorney at Law.
• Proven experience handling complex litigation, dispute resolution, and corporate or regulatory matters.
• Strong knowledge of Iranian corporate, financial, and regulatory laws.
• Strong legal drafting, research, and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to independently manage high-stakes legal matters and provide practical legal advice to senior stakeholders.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• High level of professional judgment, confidentiality, and accountability.
• Experience in a startup, technology, FinTech, or other fast-growing business environment is considered an advantage.
• Strong expertise in technology law, financial regulations, digital assets, or related areas is considered an advantage.
• Familiarity with cryptocurrency exchange operations and blockchain technology is considered an advantage.
• Extensive experience with the Iranian Companies Registration Office and other relevant regulatory authorities is considered an advantage.
