Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to help maintain and improve the reliability, availability, and operational health of our systems and platforms.

In this role, you will be responsible for operating our observability infrastructure, centralized logging platform, and staging environments. You will investigate incidents, automate repetitive tasks, and collaborate with DevOps, Infrastructure, DBA, and Development teams to improve platform stability, reliability, and operational efficiency.

 

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and Observability: Maintain the monitoring and alerting stack, ensure reliable metrics collection, improve dashboards and alerts, and identify gaps in system visibility.
• Logging and Log Management: Operate and maintain Elasticsearch and centralized log collection pipelines, troubleshoot ingestion and indexing issues, and manage cluster health, storage, and log retention.
• Incident Management and Reliability: Respond to alerts and incidents, investigate root causes, coordinate resolutions with relevant teams, and implement improvements to prevent recurring issues.
• Staging Environment Operations: Maintain staging and testing environments, troubleshoot infrastructure and service issues, support development and QA teams, and ensure environments remain stable and available.
• Automation and Continuous Improvement: Automate repetitive operational tasks, maintain technical documentation and runbooks, and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and system reliability.

 

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience operating monitoring and alerting systems.
• Experience with VictoriaMetrics, Prometheus, Grafana, or Alertmanager.
• Experience with the Elastic Stack, including Elasticsearch, Logstash, Beats, or equivalent log collection tools.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized workloads.
• Solid understanding of metrics, logs, dashboards, and alerting concepts.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, and TLS.
• Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems and investigate issues across multiple components.
• Basic scripting skills in Bash or Python.
• Familiarity with Git and configuration management practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and incident response processes.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
• Familiarity with Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and post-incident reviews.
• Experience optimizing observability infrastructure for performance, storage, and cost.
• Experience supporting both production and non-production environments.
