Business Continuity & Compliance Specialist

Job Overview:

To ensure the timely identification and mitigation of risks, effective incident and crisis management, and ongoing monitoring and improvement of compliance with internal and external laws and requirements, in order to safeguard business continuity, assets, brand reputation, and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Risk Management

• Identify risks across business processes and services in a timely and accurate manner, including Operations, Logistics, Finance, Commercial, Marketing, Legal, and other functions.
• Assess risks based on their likelihood and impact, and prioritize mitigation actions accordingly.
• Recommend and design appropriate risk controls.
• Maintain and regularly update the Risk Profile and Risk Mitigation Plans.
• Monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), follow up with indicator owners on changes and deviations, and ensure timely and appropriate escalation.
• Conduct root cause analysis of risk occurrences and recommend preventive actions.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders across business functions to track and drive the progress of risk mitigation actions.
• Proactively contribute to the development of forward-looking roadmaps to identify emerging and future risks.
• Translate identified risks into actionable and trackable mitigation plans, with clearly defined Person in Charge (PIC), deadlines, and success metrics.

2. Business Continuity Management (BCM)

• Develop, maintain, and regularly update Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and Disaster Recovery (DR) Plans for identified crisis scenarios.
• Define minimum Business Continuity Planning (BCP) standards for each team and business process.
• Design and facilitate Business Impact Analysis (BIA) sessions with process owners.
• Coordinate relevant teams and stakeholders during incidents and crises, ensuring alignment and follow-through until resolution.

3. Compliance

• Identify, extract, and categorize business-related compliance requirements, including legal, contractual, and internal requirements.
• Translate legal and regulatory requirements into practical, actionable operational controls and procedures.
• Identify compliance gaps and non-compliance issues, document findings, conduct root cause analysis, and develop corrective action plans in collaboration with relevant teams.
• Work closely with Legal, Finance, Operations, Human Resources, and other relevant functions to support the implementation and ongoing adherence to compliance requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Management, Industrial Engineering, Engineering, IT, or a related field; equivalent relevant work experience may be considered.
• 2 years of experience in Operations, Risk Management, PMO, Quality Management, Incident Management, or Service Management.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze data, trends, and risk indicators.
• Good understanding of the Business Continuity Management (BCM) lifecycle.
• Strong documentation skills and the ability to standardize processes and maintain accurate records.
• Sound judgment in identifying when and how to escalate risks, incidents, and crises.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to drive the implementation of requirements and agreed actions.
• Strong management reporting and presentation skills.
