Program Manager

About the Role

We’re looking for a Program Manager to join Toman’s Growth & Strategy team and drive the execution of strategic initiatives across the organization.

You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, Business, and Operations teams, translating technical discussions into actionable plans, managing cross-functional dependencies, and ensuring that complex initiatives move forward with clear ownership and accountability. You’ll play a key role in connecting business priorities with technical execution, ensuring that programs are delivered according to agreed plans, timelines, and processes.

Reporting directly to the Head of Growth & Strategy, you’ll help translate strategic priorities into coordinated execution, improve visibility into delivery performance, and continuously strengthen how programs are planned and managed across Toman.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated program plans, including milestones, timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and ownership.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, manage dependencies, and ensure alignment on delivery commitments across Product, Engineering, Business, and Operations.
• Monitor progress, identify deviations from agreed plans and processes, and drive corrective actions to keep programs on track.
• Identify and manage program risks, assess their potential impact on delivery, and escalate critical issues with clear recommendations.
• Understand technical requirements, engineering estimates, system dependencies, and implementation constraints to support planning, identify delivery risks, and drive informed decision-making across technical and business teams.
• Translate strategic priorities and OKRs into executable plans, ensuring alignment between business objectives, technical deliverables, and expected outcomes.
• Provide clear, data-driven reporting on program status, risks, dependencies, and delivery performance to leadership.
• Facilitate decision-making across teams by clarifying ownership, challenging assumptions, resolving blockers, and ensuring accountability for commitments.
• Identify opportunities to improve program management practices, planning processes, and cross-functional collaboration.

Required Skills

• 2 years of experience in program management, project management, or a similar role in a technology-driven organization.
• Proven experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives and managing dependencies across multiple teams.
• Strong technical literacy, with the ability to understand and critically evaluate software architecture discussions, API integrations and dependencies, data migrations, system limitations, and engineering estimates. Able to challenge technical assumptions, assess delivery implications, and translate technical complexity into actionable plans without requiring hands-on production coding.
• Experience with Agile or hybrid methodologies and project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-reporting skills, with the ability to use data to track progress, identify risks, and support decisions.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge assumptions, align stakeholders, and drive accountability.
• A structured and proactive approach to planning, process adherence, risk management, and execution.
• Ability to connect business objectives with technical execution and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience in fintech, banking, payments, or other technology-driven industries.
• Background in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
• Familiarity with OKRs, portfolio-level planning, or establishing program management and PMO practices.
• Experience working with engineering teams on complex technical initiatives involving system integrations, infrastructure changes, or data migrations.
