Shahrzad is an urban services super app spanning e-commerce, financial services and payments, transportation, and smart city services. With multiple products and connected services, we care about making the entire user journey reliable.

We’re looking for an experienced, curious, and detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer to join our Product Team. Someone who understands business logic, spots overlooked scenarios, and can investigate an issue across the interface, APIs, database, and service logs.

This is a hands-on role focused on manual testing, exploratory testing, and API and backend validation. Automation experience is welcome, but it is not the main focus.

What you’ll do:
Own QA planning and execution for our mobile apps and web panels, from reviewing requirements to checking release readiness.
Work with Product Managers and engineers to clarify business rules, challenge assumptions, and identify missing acceptance criteria.
Create and maintain practical test plans, test cases, checklists, and test data. Prioritize testing based on risk and impact on users.
Perform functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and exploratory testing across relevant devices and browsers.
Look beyond the happy path. Test scenarios such as expired sessions, interrupted connections, repeated requests, concurrent actions, and failures in connected services.
Test APIs using Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI documentation, checking business logic, responses, permissions, and error handling.
Use SQL to verify data, investigate inconsistencies, and check that results match across the interface, APIs, and database.
Investigate issues using browser developer tools, application logs, error reports, and service-monitoring dashboards.
Write clear, reproducible bug reports with useful evidence. Work with engineers to verify fixes and check for related issues.
Communicate test results, coverage gaps, and unresolved risks so the team can make informed release decisions.

What you’ll bring:
4+ years of QA experience, with a strong background in manual testing of web or mobile products and backend services.
Strong test-design skills, including boundary value analysis, decision tables, state-transition testing, and exploratory testing.
The ability to understand business rules and find important scenarios that are missing from the requirements.
Hands-on experience with Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI, plus a good understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, authentication, and access control.
Practical SQL skills, including joins, aggregations, and subqueries, for data validation and troubleshooting.
Experience searching and analyzing logs with tools such as Kibana, OpenSearch, or Splunk, and tracing requests using request or correlation IDs.
Experience using monitoring and error-tracking tools such as Grafana, Datadog, or Sentry to investigate errors, response times, and service-health changes.
Familiarity with browser developer tools, especially the Network and Console tabs.
Clear documentation skills and experience with Jira or similar issue-tracking tools.
An understanding of the software development lifecycle and experience working in Agile teams.
Experience with equivalent logging and monitoring tools is equally welcome.

Nice to have:
Experience with B2C products, e-commerce, payments, or digital wallets.
Familiarity with microservices, asynchronous processing, and third-party integrations.
Experience testing transaction flows, including retries, duplicate requests, cancellations, and refunds.
Some experience with test automation or scripting to support repetitive checks.
Familiarity with performance testing and CI/CD workflows.
