Front-End Developer (React)

Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Front-End Developer (React) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining accessible, responsive, and user-friendly web interfaces that support our digital products. This role requires close collaboration with Product, UX/UI Design, Back-End, QA, and DevOps teams throughout the development lifecycle — from design hand-off and implementation to testing, release, and continuous improvement.

We are not looking for someone who can merely get an app to run. We are looking for a developer who writes professional, production-grade software: clean, reliable, high-performance code that another programmer can read, understand, and confidently continue. We expect our developers to master modern, up-to-date technology and to choose the best approach for each situation — not the first one that works.

We also expect our developers to use AI tools as a productivity multiplier — not as a substitute for engineering judgment. Concretely, this means you will:

Understand React concepts deeply enough to direct AI tools, not just accept their output.
Review, validate, and improve AI-generated code before it enters the codebase — never merging code you don't fully understand.
Instruct AI to follow our standards: good structure, consistency, efficiency, and respect for all programming rules.
Reject AI output that merely "works" but wastes memory, CPU, or storage, or that turns the application into a maintenance disaster.
Actively steer AI away from the worst method and toward the best one.

Research Before Code

We do not want developers who jump straight into coding. Before writing a line, we expect you to understand the user's context, research best practices for the problem at hand, and consult how well-known, high-quality websites solve similar problems. If the task is to load an image, for example, we expect you to research the best-practice techniques first — and then implement the one that fits the situation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain responsive web interfaces using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Build reusable, maintainable, and scalable UI components.
• Translate UX/UI designs and prototypes into functional web interfaces.
• Integrate front-end applications with REST APIs and backend services.
• Write clean, structured, and testable code that meets professional standards.
• Write and maintain automated tests for front-end components and features.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve front-end defects.
• Optimize applications for performance, usability, and responsiveness.
• Follow accessibility, security, and front-end development best practices.
• Use AI coding tools effectively: prompt them with clear standards, review their output critically, and refine or replace it where it falls short.
• Research best practices and reference implementations before starting new work, and document the reasoning behind your technical choices.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and development planning.
• Support application releases and ongoing product improvements.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
• Collaborate with Product, UX/UI Design, Back-End, QA, and DevOps teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience in front-end development using React, with a solid understanding of core React concepts (not just pattern-matching from tutorials).
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Practical experience with TypeScript.
• Experience integrating front-end applications with REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
• Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Ability to build reusable and maintainable UI components.
• Knowledge of front-end testing, debugging, and browser developer tools.
• Understanding of web performance, security, and accessibility principles.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI coding assistants productively while critically reviewing and improving their output.
• Strong research skills: the habit of seeking best practices and proven real-world implementations before coding.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage assigned tasks and meet project deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or IT.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Redux, Redux Toolkit, or other state-management solutions.
• Familiarity with Next.js.
• Experience with front-end testing tools such as Jest and React Testing Library.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of modern CSS frameworks or component libraries.
• Experience working in a professional software development or Agile team.
• Portfolio or code samples showing clean, well-structured, performant code — ideally including examples of how you've directed and corrected AI-generated code.
