We are looking for talented Bioinformatician who are passionate about building ML platforms and data pipelines for large-scale genomic data repositories. You’ll build a state-of-the-art platform and data pipeline. You’ll work closely with various stakeholders within the company to design and build a platform that powers the best-in-class enterprise product suite that’s loved by our customers.

Responsibilities:

·  Analysis of biomedical data sets, including genome, medical imaging and natural language processing data

·  Application of a range of machine learning methods and tools to clinical research projects

·  Comparative evaluation of the ML methods and tools for each data analysis task

·  Developing and maintaining existing data-analysis pipelines, identifying and testing new tools

·  Systematic exploration of high-dimensional data to identify issues of practical or theoretical importance using mathematical/computational approaches

·  Integrative analysis of multiple data types

·  Collaboration with clinical research teams, software engineers, domain experts and scientists within AI Techlife and with external teams to define processes to transform harmonized data into analysis-ready R/Python objects.

·  Generate clearly written documents that describe these transformation processes.

·  Generate R/Python scripts to implement these transformations.

·  Ensure project objectives/requirements are clear and agreed to by all stakeholders

 
Requirements:

·  PhD or Master of Science in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Data Science or equivalent experience with several years of practical industry experience.

·  Experience analyzing multiple types of high dimensional genomic data types in R and/or Python.

·  Background in machine learning, predictive modeling and data analysis

·  Proficiency in Python and/or R

·  Experience with image analysis

·  Experience with natural language processing (NLP)

·  Comfortable with modern Linux environments and version control (Git, GitLab)

·  Exceptional communication and data presentation skills, including the ability to credibly explain complex scientific ideas to a diverse audience.

·  Ability to work successfully in cross-functional teams to collaboratively solve complex problems.

·  Experience delivering successful software projects from inception through deployment

·  Experience building scalable systems and architectures

·  Fluent in English (Conversation and Writing)

This will make you extra competitive:

·  Familiarity with HPC environments and how to run applications in HPC clusters

·  Experience developing and implementing algorithms for the processing of large genomics and biomedical data sets

·  Background in biology, genetics, medicine, and statistics, to understand the scientific requirements of the applications to be developed.

·  Experience testing and developing machine learning tools and pipelines

·  Experience with AI on Cloud/Edge
