Job Description
Role Overview:
As a Senior Product Designer at Snapp!Shop, you will be an integral part of our design team, working closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to create intuitive, engaging, and impactful user experiences. Your expertise in user-centered design and problem-solving will be key in developing our products. You will have the opportunity to contribute to all phases of the design process, from research and ideation to prototyping and user testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply design processes and methodologies to solve complex problems and enhance user experiences
- Lead or contribute to the design of user experiences from concept to launch for both new and existing products
- Collaborate with product managers to understand user needs, business goals, and technical constraints
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to effectively communicate design ideas
- Develop and maintain design systems and guidelines to ensure consistency across products
- Present case studies demonstrating your impact on previous projects and your role in solving design challenges
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
Requirements:
- Deep understanding of user-centered design methodologies and principles
- Proven experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing real case studies
- Proficiency in Figma and other design and prototyping tools
- Experience conducting user research and usability testing
- Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints in design solutions
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a focus on practical application in design projects
- Significant experience leading the design of user experiences from concept to launch
- Ability to mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Strategic thinking and ability to influence product direction at a higher level.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in e-commerce or a related industry
- Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices
- Experience with agile development processes.
