Senior Product Designer (UI/UX)

Job Summary:

MySmartGene is seeking a Senior Product Designer (UI/UX) with a passion for creating intuitive and impactful user experiences. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers to design beautiful, user-centered interfaces that provide personalized insights to our customers. This role requires a deep understanding of UI/UX design principles and experience with design tools, particularly Figma. As a Senior Product Designer, you will drive the design process from concept to delivery, ensuring the highest quality of design execution.

Key Responsibilities:

   •      UI/UX Design: Lead the end-to-end design process, creating high-quality user interfaces and experiences that align with MySmartGene’s product vision. Develop wireframes, prototypes, and final design assets.

   •      Figma Expertise: Use Figma to design, collaborate, and prototype user interfaces, ensuring design consistency and seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams.

   •      User-Centered Design: Apply user-centered design principles to create intuitive, accessible, and responsive designs that meet the needs of diverse user personas.

   •      Collaboration with Product & Engineering: Partner with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure that designs are feasible and aligned with the technical and business goals. Iterate based on feedback and testing.

   •      User Research & Testing: Work closely with research teams to gather user insights and conduct usability testing. Use this data to inform design decisions and ensure product-market fit.

   •      Design System Development: Help maintain and evolve the MySmartGene design system, ensuring visual consistency across all products. Implement scalable design solutions that align with our brand and user experience guidelines.

   •      Innovative Problem Solving: Explore innovative design solutions by keeping up with design trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UI/UX design. Continuously seek to push the boundaries of what’s possible.

   •      Cross-Functional Communication: Clearly articulate design decisions, the rationale behind them, and how they align with business objectives. Ensure all stakeholders are aligned and contribute to design feedback loops.
Qualifications:

   •      Experience: 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with a proven track record of designing impactful digital products. Experience working in cross-functional teams.

   •      Tools: Expertise in Figma, with a strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality user interface design and prototyping skills.

   •      Design Expertise: Deep understanding of UI/UX principles, including interaction design, information architecture, visual design, and usability testing.

   •      User-Centered Focus: Experience designing for diverse user groups and applying user research insights to improve product usability and accessibility.

   •      Collaboration Skills: Ability to work seamlessly with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality designs under tight deadlines.

   •      Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and defend design decisions to various stakeholders.

   •      Problem Solving: Creative problem-solving skills with a passion for designing elegant, intuitive solutions for complex problems.

 
Preferred Qualifications:

   •      Familiarity with building and maintaining a design system.

   •      Knowledge of front-end development principles and how they impact design feasibility.

   •      Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for additional design tasks.
