DBA Expert (Big Data MSO)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled DBA Expert to join our team and oversee the management of our big data databases. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in big data technologies, experience with database administration and management, and the ability to lead a team of database administrators.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the administration and maintenance of our big data databases, including monitoring and performance optimization.
• Develop and implement effective database management processes and best practices for our big data systems.
• Collaborate with developers and data engineers to identify and address issues related to database performance, data quality, and data security.
• Conduct as a database administrator to ensure the quality and reliability of our big data databases.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and backup procedures for the big data systems.
• Ensure compliance with relevant security and privacy policies.
• Develop and maintain Metadata storage on Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
• Define and keep data catalogues and glossaries up to date. 

Qualifications:

•  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
•  Strong experience with big data technologies, including Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and related tools.
• Experience with database administration and management for big data systems.
• Strong understanding of database performance, data quality, and data security principles.
• Experience leading and managing a team of database administrators.
• Hands-on with Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
