Scrum Master

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Scrum Master to join our agile team. The Scrum Master will play a critical role in facilitating the Scrum process, ensuring that the team adheres to Agile principles and practices, and promoting a collaborative and productive work environment. This position is essential for helping the team improve its processes and deliver high-quality products on time.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure smooth Agile practices.
Serve as a servant leader, guiding and supporting the Scrum team in their Agile journey and helping them to achieve their goals.
Remove impediments that hinder the progress of the team and assist in problem-solving as necessary.
Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure a clear understanding of the product backlog and priorities, and help refine the backlog for upcoming sprints.
Coach team members on Agile best practices, promoting self-organization and accountability within the team.
Monitor and report on project progress, metrics, and team performance, while identifying areas for improvement.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback and discussion among team members.
Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches to share knowledge and promote best practices across the organization.
Support organizational change by advocating for Agile methodologies and helping teams transition to Agile processes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience as a Scrum Master with a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and principles.
Scrum Master certification (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent) is highly desirable.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead discussions and resolve conflicts.
Strong organizational skills with a talent for multitasking and managing priorities effectively.
Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, or similar) is preferred.
Experience in software development environments is a plus, ideally within an Agile framework.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in coaching teams through Agile transformations.
Knowledge of other Agile frameworks (e.g., Kanban, Lean) is an asset.
Previous experience working in the fintech industry
