Senior Backend Developer (Python)

Here at Tafahom, we are working on products for smart monitoring, enterprise suites and industrial applications. We need a Senior Backend Developer (Python) in our team to help us power through the latest tech and develop and maintain our services using best practices.

What you’ll own and build
Evolve and scale core services (ingestion, alarming, API layer, MLOps) while maintaining SLAs and system reliability.
Design and implement the next generation of capabilities: develop plugin-based backend modules, video/camera stream integration, advanced AI/ML/LLM/RAG/Agentic analytics, and multi-tenant readiness.
Lead architectural decisions around performance, resilience, and future extensibility (event sourcing, better SRE observability, analytics pipelines, etc.).
Own end-to-end delivery of major features — from design to production hardening.
Mentor and raise the technical bar as the team grows.

Tech & Experience we value
Deep expertise in Python + asyncio, FastAPI, and building robust async systems.
Strong background with TimescaleDB/Postgres, Redis (Streams + Pub/Sub), and event-driven architectures.
Proven experience with analytical databases like ClickHouse and SingleStore is a plus.
Proven experience with CDC tools such as AirByte, Debezium is a plus.
Experience with real-time / IoT / industrial systems is highly desirable.
Comfortable with Docker, observability (Prometheus/Grafana), testing at scale, and production operations.
You enjoy clean architecture, strict boundaries, and thoughtful evolution of complex industrial systems.
