We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead engineering teams at Tapsi Food.

You will be accountable for team delivery, health, and growth, while ensuring our business-critical systems (from ordering and checkout to payments, settlements, and financial operations) remain reliable, accurate, and scalable. You will work closely with Product, Business, Finance, Data, and other Engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and grow engineering teams responsible for business-critical systems.
• Own team delivery: planning, prioritization, execution, and predictable outcomes.
• Partner with Product, Business, and Finance stakeholders to shape the roadmap and translate business goals into engineering plans.
• Work with Tech Leads to ensure sound technical decisions, architecture quality, and system reliability.
• Ensure the reliability and correctness of systems such as ordering, cart and checkout, pricing, payments, wallet, invoicing, settlement, and reconciliation.
• Ensure distributed-system concerns such as data consistency, idempotency, transactional integrity, auditability, and failure handling are properly addressed.
• Own incident management, postmortems, and continuous improvement of system stability.
• Balance feature delivery with technical debt, reliability, security, and long-term maintainability.
• Define and track team and system metrics (delivery, quality, availability, financial accuracy).
• Identify delivery risks, cross-team dependencies, and bottlenecks, and drive their resolution.
• Collaborate with SRE/DevOps, Data, Security, and other engineering teams to align on priorities and shared goals.
• Run hiring, onboarding, performance evaluation, and career development for team members.
• Hold regular 1:1s, give clear and timely feedback, and handle conflicts constructively.
• Build a culture of ownership, accountability, knowledge sharing, and psychological safety.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in an Engineering Manager or people-management role.
• Proven track record of leading teams that build and operate high-scale, business-critical backend systems.
• Solid technical background in Distributed Systems and Microservices.
• Good understanding of transactional systems, data consistency, messaging, caching, and event-driven architectures (e.g., RabbitMQ, Redis).
• Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs and support teams in system design discussions.
• Data-driven mindset in decision-making and goal setting (OKRs/KPIs).
• Strong communication, prioritization, delegation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Experience in hiring, performance management, and growing engineers' careers.
