Primary Responsibilities:
Commissions, troubleshoots, repairs, and analyzes Utility & commercial inverters, PV Solar equipment and site equipment in the field
- Regularly works with high voltage DC electricity, SCADA or 3rd party monitoring and the relevant software and firmware of the inverters site equipment.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on plant equipment as directed.
- Complete all necessary logs, records, maintenance documentation and plant paperwork as required.
- Perform OEM testing, troubleshooting, repairs and upgrades/revisions to a broad range of equipment in commercial solar.
- Must be able to work closely with O&M Manager and Superintendent to react and resolve production-related issues as they arise in the field.
- Review site drawings to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
- Ensure all site issues are documented in OneDrive and addressed.
- Field work includes electrical and mechanical preventative and corrective maintenance of site equipment, and site field reporting.
- Quality assurance for all work performed on-site.
- Troubleshoot PV system performance issues. Locate and isolate ground faults and arc faults.
- Work with network functions, IP addresses and internet connections in relation to Data Acquisition Systems.
Minimum Requirements
- 2-5 years’ related experience in Electrical Industry
- An undergraduate degree in Electrical engineering
- Computer Literate, especially proficient in Microsoft Office
- Good command in English (written and spoken) mandatory
- O&M and coordination skills
- technical knowledge of renewable energy infrastructure
- Experience in the renewable Industry will be advantageous.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines successfully
- Self-disciplined and result-oriented
